Rachael Galper is a portrait photographer from Los Angeles and a first year art major at the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, with an emphasis in photography. She has been doing portrait photography for three years, and is passionate about capturing real emotion and telling stories through her work. Her photography often explores themes like mental health, the beauty of womanhood, and the joys and struggles experienced by human subjects. She seeks to highlight each model's unique beauties, passions, hobbies, and the essential elements of their character. For her, photography is about connection, self-expression, and celebrating what makes us human.
