Submissions
Submitting your work is free.
Yes! So long as each work follows the guidelines for its genre, and you only submit one submission per category.
Yes! But please make sure to let us know if your work is accepted somewhere else, and you would like to withdraw your submission from our consideration, as soon as you are notified of the acceptance.
Yes! However, if your work is republished somewhere else, we ask that you credit Spectrum Literary Journal as the place of first publication.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer compensation at this time.
Yes! Anyone can submit to Spectrum, provided that they are not currently a member of Spectrum, or planning to be one when the issue to which they submitted is being made.
Students
Simply enroll in the W&L CS 170 series. We accept students from all majors and colleges at UCSB. We’d love to have you join us!
